Conditional Logic for Summary Card Appearance in Dashboards
Tommy Martin
I believe it’d be useful to have multiple “Styles” for a summary card, based on parameters or filters.
I’ve attached a screenshot illustrating an example. When the summary card value is zero, fill it with a single color. Otherwise, fill it with a different color.
I’m curious if others share my opinion on this.

Hey Tommy Martin, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific parameters or filters would you like to use to determine the style of the summary card?
- Are there any other conditions besides the value being zero that should trigger a style change?
- How important is it for you to have the ability to customize these styles further?

Hey Jon Darbyshire,
- Since these are number-based, whatever count/rollup feature the summary uses would be the parameter. Filters could be by less/great/equal to: >, >=, <, <=, =
- Thinking more broadly about universal use cases, yes. Any revenue or number of sales/clients goals that are exceeded could warrant a change. I could even envision tracking sales conversions, with the card turning red if the showrate for the month falls below a specific percentage. Additionally, it could be filtered when the target goal percentage is achieved.
- Would be a nice to have, but not needed. There are definitely other dashboard-related features I'd rather have instead of this. 🙌 Thanks Jon!
