Simple automation based on a date
Loic LeMener
I want to run many automations based on DOB and client anniversary dates. Being in wealth management, I need to fire off automations when a client turns 50, 59.5, 62, 66, 70.5 just to name a few. Or client 1,5,10,15,20,25 yr anniversaries. Then wedding anniversaries etc...I spoke with Brian and apparently, that cannot be done. You have to have a separate formula field for each anniversary you're looking to notify on, and then use the "When a record matches condition where [Formula] is Today".

Significant Work Anniversary Reminder

Would like a way to have reminders for personnel's work anniversaries: years 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.; but I don't need a reminder every year.

Hiya Erin Norton, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Would you like the reminders to be customizable or should they be set to specific years (1, 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) by default?
- Should the reminders be sent to the individual employee, their manager, or both?
- Would you like the option to add a personalized message to the reminder?

Jon Darbyshire 1. I was thinking customizable, but significant anniversaries by default would be a good feature too!
- I need them for their manager, but it could be nice for the employee to receive the notification as well.
- Yes, that would be great!

This could be created with a...
- Data Of Birth Field
- A Formula Field that translates the DOB into a year... like 50, 59.5, 62, 66, 70.5
- Automations that trigger off of that number.
I have done this in a couple of portals now.

Benjamin Bachman: That will work but you'll need a field for every date you want an automation run for which is not very efficient. Thanks.

Loic LeMener: Can you use the Date + trigger in automations to accomplish this?
Loic LeMener
Benjamin Bachman: I have Automation Helpers helping me and they are building an app just for all the fields. So I'm pretty sure there isn't another way

To be more specific. I'd like to have one date field (like DOB) that I have a bunch of automations reference so I don't have to have dozens of date fields. Thanks!
