Ability for due dates to match multiple complete status

Multiple Due Date Fields Tied to Different Statuses
Carla Williams
I need to have due date fields tied not just to the completed status. I need a due date to start as well as for milestones in between. For example, I don't need to just track on-time closings, but did we start the foundation on time and did we start framing on time. Closing would tie to the completed status... but I need to know if we started the foundation on time.

Great to hear your perspective, Carla Williams! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the different milestones you would like to track?
- How would you like to be notified if a milestone is not started on time?
- What actions should be taken if a milestone is not started on time?

Jon Darbyshire. I know that I can set up many different status fields- like framing status, foundations status, closing status and get the views that I want. But I really don't want all those separate status fields.... I really just need the one status field with the options of: foundation started, framing started, closing.... vs a foundation status field that would just be started or not started and a framing status field that would just be started or not started. The view we want to see is with the happy and sad faces and number of days until it's due, number of days past due, etc like the due date fields offer. Thanks! We don't really need any actions or notifications, just a nice view on a dashboard. We have hunderds or homes being built, so we don't want to be blowing anyone up with notifications- we just need them to be able to see it. For now the status would be: in design, in permitting, in foundation, in framing, closed. I guess I could set it up so that all of the other status fields are not showing up in the view and set an automation to change the secondary status fields when the primary status field is updated, so a workaround is possible.
