Allow typing of dates in form date fields (quality of life improvement)

Right now, the Date fields in Forms will not allow typing of a date as they do in record and grid views. This means for far past dates (a date of birth as an example use case), the user has to select the year and scroll for quite a while to get to the right one, then scroll to the right month and click the date. We get complaints from form users all the time on the clunkiness of this, and it seems like a nice, common-sense addition to form functionality that would impact end user experience.

Great to hear your perspective, Marisa Duncan! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the date typing feature? For example, would you like to type the date in a specific format?
- Are there any specific forms or pages where you would like this feature to be implemented?
- How frequently do you use the date field and how much time do you believe this feature could save you?

Jon Darbyshire thanks for taking the time to consider this request:
- Ideally there could be a date format setting for the workspace then the date field in the form would follow that format. I'd like to be able to type just the numbers of the date the default format and have it format automatically.
- I'd like the option on all forms created in Smartsuite, could also be extended to the date fields in the record details or table views but that's not required.
- We use it regularly for clients to input a date of birth and other dates on a request form. I'd estimate time saved is around 45 seconds per form and there are about 50 submissions per day.
