Adding a linked record doesn't keep the foreign key reference

In Airtable, if I have a Company table with linked Contacts, and from the Company table create a new Contact, Airtable will autopopulate the Company field in the Contact because it knows I'm trying to create a new contact for that company. In SS, same setup, I have to manually select the Company from the Contact record as if SS has no situational awareness that I'm creating the Contact from a Company record. I'm of course using Company/Contact generically. This is true for any relationship within SS.

This continues to cause many issues and confusion for the users. Please bump up for delivery if possible.

Tim Klug: Good news! They just rolled this out as a new feature a few days ago.

Commenting here to hopefully bump this!! The necessity to close out linked records in order to create the link is a UX headache. Hopefully a solution is near!

Any ETA on this? I'm getting feedback from my users that they are really not happy with the effort required to make simple "interaction-related" updates in the SmartSuite CRM.
