If I get an email from a new supplier for instance, I can’t put the correspondence into a record without doing it manually.

Each record can have an email address associated with it that feeds straight into the comments section. You can see how Monday.com do this in their help file: https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005339645-Email-to-board#send_email_to_item_as_update

Hi Jon,
I work with many suppliers and when doing product development I may have several emails going on for one project.
If I have the project inside ss, I can’t forward the email it to the project like I could in click up.
I don’t want to add suppliers to my plan because that would be extremely costly (I work with close to 40 and have over 100 potential suppliers)
If I could forward emails to the open comments of the record of the supplier or project it would be ideal. A project may last a year so having everything documented in one place is great as you know how a long email chain on Google looks like a hot mess.
We’re using relay now but unless I start the conversation from Ss, I have communication all over the place.

- Could you please clarify what you mean by 'record comment section'? Is it a specific feature in our product?
- Could you provide more details about the current process you follow to manually add the correspondence into a record?
- Are there specific types of emails or information within the emails that you would like to be automatically forwarded to the record comment section?

- Either in open comments in the record or some way that emails can go into the record to follow conversations. Like a text message would be super groovy and where all attachments would then link to record files.
- I stopped adding emails to comments manually cause it was too time consuming and it’s not really working for me as well as click up in that regard.
- There is an email app called “spike” that has a really groovy feature that all emails looks like text messages and is easy to follow when there are long conversations. And does summarize of entire thread using AI.

Jon Darbyshire Hi Jon, now after the direct connection of Gmail/Outlook in the Communication Center this feature would be cherry on top! Having the ability to forward emails from Gmail directly in a record to keep evidence of infos. Clickup even have a chrome extention and they allow the users to click on a button and attach the email to existing record or create a new one. It would be an improved version on Smartsuite Web Clipper
