I use count field often; to avoid having a visible field with a bunch of links to records. With count field, I can see if I have any linked records, but while i have the count field window open, nice to have the ability to add a record to the associated count field.

it's great that you can now add records associated with the count field. Click on the count, and it shows you the links it base it count on; and now you can add a record within the screen view. BUT only if the count is greater than one. Nice to have this ability when the count is zero. Click on zero to see the empty display showing no linked records, but click to add one.

This small addition would make the linked record functionality even more intuitive and powerful.
