It could be nice if every app has an e-mail address. All mails send to this address will be new tasks. Furthermore it could also be nice to have each record (Task) its owin e-mail address and every mail send to this address could be and update of the record (task).

ClickUp does a phenomenal job at this! Also their Chrome extension is amazing and can also imports an attachment of the email in ClickUp.

Yes, until they have this feature I believe that I need to take my business somewhere else. I feel like I am working for SmartSuite instead of the other way around. ClickUp launched with that tool. I was there.

I also recommend taking a look at ClickUp's Outlook Add-In. This allows forwarding emails to records and creating new records from emails to be even more seamless.

Jon Darbyshire: Dear Jon, Although 6 months have passed since the original request I see that it is still "planned". 
Because for some of us it is important, could the address ХХХХ@smartsuite-inbox.com lead to an Inbox and from there we can transfer to the corresponding application what we are interested in? 
Can you help us pls or at least tell us when the "planned" feature will be available?

Jon Darbyshire: Hi Jon! In ClickUp and Trello it works very well. And I used it often. In ClickUp this E-Mail feature is very sufisticated, in Trello it was much easier and simpler. In both cases you have a link/email adress for a board or list you want to send emails to. And you forward e-mail to that address. So the e-mail, including attachments, gets as a task directly to my board/list. This is a feature I would pay for…! ;-) Nikola

Jon Darbyshire: Seconding Nikola's comment about Clickup's implementation. The ability to create records via email is a huge part of my workflow, and clickup does a good job with this by creating generated email address for each list (or app in SmartSuite's lingo). That way I can forward work tasks to my work app or recipes to my recipe tracker for example.

Jon Darbyshire: Hi Jon, in Clickup you can also send an email not only at level of board or list (to create a task) but also to an existing task so to update.

Jon Darbyshire: ClickUp also uses the Chrome Extension to assign emails to tasks. I usally associate with the task id. This imports an attachment of the email in ClickUp.

From Outlook, I forward directly to the task email. Email appears in Activity.

Jon Darbyshire: also Toodeldo does a great job and they have special syntax you can add to end of email subject line to the format the task in the todo app .
