Customizable Action Buttons for Tables

I’d like to request a feature that allows users to customize action buttons based on the selected table. Currently, when creating a new record, the action button (e.g., “New Account”) remains fixed. However, I’d like the ability to modify this button’s label to match the table name or a custom label of my choice.
For example, if I rename a table from “Accounts” to “Counties,” I’d like the corresponding action button to update from “New Account” to “New Counties” (or another custom label that fits my workflow). This would provide a more intuitive and flexible user experience.

This feature has been implemented in the view-based widgets in Dashboards. There you have complete control not over the button's label, but also its action.
This functionality will later be applied it core views as well.

I think what you are looking for is already available in the table menu. See more info here https://help.smartsuite.com/en/articles/8017068-customize-terminology-used-for-records

Airtable does this. It lets you name the primary "object" in each table, e.g. "customers". Then the "nouns" update in multiple places, e.g. "
new customer".
The only limitation is that it's not free-form. You can't enter anything you want. Rather you choose from a (fairly long) list. If what you want isn't in the list, you're out of luck and they default to "record".

Dave Hyndman: We will make this happen. We have the designs and requirements done and now we just need to find time to get this over the finish line. Please do note that you in Dashboard we have release the a Button Row widget that provides this same type of functionality and the button row can be placed directly above a Grid (or any other widget type) View widget.

That sounds reasonable and smart.
