Prevent certain users from deleting records. They can create and edit but cannot delete. To delete they would need approval. Manager would get a notification to approve deletion

This is to prevent new users from accidentally deleting important data.

The "Assignee" (and table-level Assignee+) permissions allow you to control who can view, edit and delete records in SmartSuite. When configured with Assignee permission, users can only view, edit or delete records where they are selected in an Assigned To field.

As a separate feature we're tracking a roadmap item to add an "archived" state to records where they cannot be deleted by regular users.

Thanks Peter Novosel - we were hoping for some functionality where a user has edit permission for a record but not delete permission. Perhaps the sperate feature you mention will add that?

Banji Oladimeji Late next week we are releasing Field Level Permissions. This feature will now allow you to control CRUD permissions at the field level.
