Dynamic Filter for Linked Records

When adding a filter to a settings of a linked record, I want the ability to filter by a value in the current record. That way, the records that show up to link in that field, dynamically update depending on which record you are in.
Here are a couple of things I want to use it for - adding contacts to opportunities & projects - and also vendor reps to projects. I have some vendors that we use for multiple products and they have different reps for each one - so I can't just auto add the "lead" rep every time. Additionally - for something like a delivery address - there's accounts with multiple locations, then the contact address - so would be good to be able to use the filter to narrow the search field for something like that.

Brian Dollen-So, I'm trying to link within a sub-item to a record that I've already linked to the parent record, but I get no results under the dynamic filter. I'd love to be able to filter this to only records that are linked to the parent record, so I don't have to search for them again. I tried just created an automation to automatically link to the parent when linked in the sub-item, but sub-items seem to be unsupported as a trigger or action. I did see that I can back out and select field values, but then I have to change the filter every time I move to a different record and the list gets so long for the possible field value that I might as well just search for the record again. Is there any way to make the dynamic filter for the parent record?

Hello everyone ! Bredan Singbeil thank you for the request !
We have already planned the implementation of this nice feature and wanted to share the designs with everyone here so that we can here your thoughts.
The way we're going to implement this is by using the current FILTER option and enhancing the "Value" input of the Linked Record Field.
Now in addition to being able to pick the Field Values, you'll be able to pick fields from the record (Dynamic Filter).

That would be extremely helpful!
Some of my apps for content creating are:
• Clients
• Themes/Editorials
• Content/Posts
All clients have their own set of themes, so when we plan posts and click the theme linked field, we have to choose from all the themes of all clients. If we had the option to filter in a way that only shows the themes related to that specific client (also linked to the record), it would prevent many mistakes.

This kind of dynamic filter will be extremely useful: Employee-to-Company, Payments-to-Invoice, Inventory-to-Warehouse, and so on.

Dynamic Filter for Linked Records

Hello
It would be great if the Filter that currently sits behind a Linked Record Field could be made dynamic.
Currently, it only acts as an initial criteria filter and if a given field (eg: the Status) changes then the filter criteria becomes irrelevant and Linked Record remains "Linked" rather than being "removed".
So, for example, you have a Linked Record from Project/s to Project Tasks. You create a filter for the Linked Record to NOT display any Tasks with a Status of "Completed". Then all of the Tasks with with a Status other than "Completed" are displayed and can be Linked to said Project.
The issue (currently) is that as Tasks are marked "Complete" they remain visible as the filter was only relevant for the initial search/find process.
I think a dynamic version of the filter makes more sense. Maybe there is a valid use case for both scenarios?

i agree, i have a selection for items that over 100 long, i want to make a single select and then filter my options for the linked records based on the single selection.

Here's some further details. Technically not a bug but seemed that way the first time I stumbled across this issue.
