Enable Users to Establish a Default for Linked Record fields

We would like to put our request in here for the default linked records. We have workflows we created that have multiple linked records for the procedures. Right now we can use an automation but it only works for a single linked record. So today we have a task that is all setup and we duplicate the task. That works but its a work around. This is the only field that we have in our workflows that force us to use duplicate and not just create a new task.

Please note that this is available now by adding a Default value of "Record Creator" into the Assigned To field in the record that is being created. You can also do this by adding and Automation for this.

Jon Darbyshire: this is a very much needed feature, any ETA on this, request is quite old.
I can show a very neat use case for this, that makes a lot of sense and saves a lot of resources, on example of a construction company, that builds say apartment complexes. So that in a core solution we have say "Projects" app, where each project record item - represents a whole apartment complex. And say we want to link at very least every apartment record to this "project" per say, as well as may be items representing building sections, etc. That makes a lot of sense, as you can then view your single project item and actually see it as aparment building or whole complex.
So in such scenario we make an Solution per project - it makes sense as building complex - thats a lot of data, and also its a template per complex. We name that project solution with the same exact name we did name project item in core solution. We then assign a system variable "Solution Name" as "DEFAULT" value for our "link to projects" field of every app in solution that we want to link there, like "apartments" "sections" etc.
and then - no matter if we import hundreds of lines at once on project launch, or fill in items by one - they are automatically by default linked part of project.
I do this with automating right now, but performance is not good, and also imagine importing say 3000 apartment item lines at once...

Jon Darbyshire any update on this? It would save a fair bit of headache and automation use
