Trying to create dashboards for external reporting, where I just need to give a figure and I need filter groups to show that it has to be x and y OR x and z.

However, this functionality is missing and I'm going to end up with disappointed clients as I will either have to do multiple metric widgets for them to add together, which wastes time, or I'm going to have to use an excel report with manual manipulation, which is not what us or the client want.
