Sometimes we don't want to use filters, but would like to be able to label email to go inot a smartsuite table.

Also, we already have emails organized in our New CRM and are using Zapier. Email labeled "client" , find record in contacts table (based on email address) - create if not found, add email to table. Fields in table mapped to fields in email. The linked to project (already linked to contact as part of the automation).

Sure. Right now, the email automation triggers when a new email is received, not when it is given a label.
Here is what works wonderfully: If there is already a rule set up in gmail (or Microsoft) such that the incoming email is given the label gmail on arrival. '"When a new email arrives from Client X, apply the label "Client". Since it is a NEW email, the condition (label=Client) is met, the Smartsuite automation is triggered and everyone is happy.
Here is what does not work (for me): An email arrives in the morning. In the afternoon, I apply the label "Client". Since it is not a new email, the SmartSuite automation does not trigger.
Zapier does have a trigger based on a newly labeled email regardless of when it arrived, but I prefer to keep SmartSuite automations in Smartsuite. Thanks!

- this would be an extension to the already trigger "When Gmaill received". I would like to trigger it when apply a specific lable to an old/exiting email -> create record in SS
- custom labels. Anytime when we do inbox zero and receive different invitations, complaints, tasks to do by email -> apply different custom labels in Gmail and automatically create a record in SS with all the details and also capture message link to the record.
Perhaps this function would also make obsolete the Chrome Extention feature request because the users want to achieve similiar results anyway.
- User created labels for flexible functionality.
