Import PDFs as background + local images + yes/no field
GUSTAVO JORGE ALESSANDRI
Import PDFs as background and not only import images for Document Designer forms.
Add the ability to pull images and pdfs from the local computer and not only from a link.
Also, the yes/no filed (boolean) should have an option to fill squares or circles instead of publishing the Yes or No answer. Most forms uses a fill space for this
Thanks and keep the excellent work!

Hey GUSTAVO JORGE ALESSANDRI, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you provide more details on how you envision the process of importing PDFs and images from the local computer?
- Could you clarify what you mean by 'fill squares or circles' for the yes/no field? Are you suggesting a visual representation of the response?
- Are there specific forms or use cases you have in mind that would benefit from these features?

Hi Jon Darbyshire!
Here are my answers:
- Quite simple: just upload a file ( pdf or image) from the computer or laptop the user is working on, instead of filling an url for the image (or the pdf).
For example: I am working for company that fills visa applications. They use many forms from different countries. I need to be able to upload these pdfs to Document Designer and place the answers (stored in Smartsuite) in the proper blank spaces.
2- Yes, I am suggesting a visual representation of the response in at least 3 cases (Yes/No, Single Select and Multiple Select). In forms, you normally got "Squares"or "circles"to represent the selected answer. (I attached an image example for illustrating. I pointed in red what I mean)> It will be good to have an option to put a square, a circle or even an X on the right options instead of having the answer listed (probaly one filled, not filled visual representation per answer in case of single and multiple select)
3- Any case of very long PDF forms (visa applications in my case) with many responses (up t0 hundreds of fields) will benefit from this.
4- This one was not in my previous answer, but it will be excellent if you could add this features to SmartSuite too:
- a keyboard shortcut to open and close records from the grid view directly in full screen mode
- option up to 6 columns in the open record screen (my customers are asking different layouts)
- something similar to Document Designer to adjust the layout of the open record screen (Interface Designer?)
- some forms are very extensive and repetitive to build. It will be good to be able to view more than 75 fields in the grid view. I have a few cases where we need to put near 300 fields in a form
(that can't be cut into different tables as I am also using Fillout as the form input)
Thank you for your valuable help!
