It's rather tedious to upload a new spreadsheet with 10+ columns. The default should be to create a new column that is a text field for any unmapped data. There are three click-throughs to otherwise add a single column of data. You also can't type the field type you are looking for, meaning you must alphabetically scroll to the field type.
