Jon Darbyshire, We use the sub-items field in our CRM, with a specific table designated for companies (and another for people). The company is the primary record, and the sub-items are contacts within said company. Those contacts require a different set of contact information than at the company level, so we build out fields within the sub-item to accommodate for that.
As we're working with people within these companies, it's easy to forget the company name, which is where the power search comes into play. We need the power search to find the person, in order to find their contact information. Manually doing so is cumbersome with the amount of records we have. We 'look up' these sub-item contacts daily to coordinate work with the vendors.

Great to hear your perspective, Tyler Brennan! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide an example of a specific sub-item record you were unable to find using the power search?
- What kind of information are you typically looking for in these sub-item records?
- How frequently do you need to search for sub-item records?

Power Search Anything ... and Everything

I Power Searched for something I was sure I created, Power Search showed no results. Then it turns up as Sub-Item.
"Search for content across every part of SmartSuite." 😱
Is it possible to search everything? Including Sub-Items, Comments, Checklists.
In the meantime, can it be made clearer on the call out help what is actually covered?

I tried using “Power Search” to search for names of Fields, and Tables, etc. but it does not seem to work. It found Solution Names, but that is about it.
It is frustrating when you learn that your Field name is already used. That's what Look Ups are for! So you need to find that field.
I would definitely vote for SmartSuite being self-aware enough to find Field and Table names in its own configuration, and not just the contents of these.
