When you click on a linked record to create a modal, there needs to be a link in the Record that allows you to click through to the Solution of the linked record. Having to back out of the record and then the solution, find the solution of the linked record is too many clicks and not a good user experience.

One click access from Solution to Solution is a much better experience.
