I would like to be able to edit Lookup fields to override data in the linked record and have the linked record value updated.
Ex: I use a lookup field to get "guest count" from the original form submission field but after subsequent correspondence learn that the count has changed to a new number.

Lookups are calculated fields by definition. Besides, each lookup might contain values from multiple linked records. And building lookups to lookups makes this even more complicated.
But both Lookups and Rollups are clickable and bring you right to their source record. Editing the source record will immediately affect the resulting Lookup value.

Update Lookup Field data in a Form

It is super handy to now have the ability to add look-up fields to linked records in a form. It would be Super Duper handy is we could edit the look-up field data in the form and the edit would update the lookup field value when the form is submitted. An example would be a customer could receive a form with their linked record filled-in so they could review their contact information. If their contact data has changed then they could update their contact data in the form.

Yes! This would be amazing. Use cases abound!

Linked records in a lookup are not clickable like they are in a linked record field; just the record title is shown. The same goes for URLs.

Being able to edit linked (and subsequent lookup) records from within the original record would be a game changer - even having the capability to jump directly into the linked record to make the edit would be a help.
