Map Text Result to Assigned To Field

I have a single select field with 20 different values and want to assign two different people based on the field value and other parameters. Currently, we can map a text result (formula) to a Linked Record field, but not to an Assigned To field. It would be very helpful if we could map text results directly into Assigned To fields to streamline the process and reduce the number of automations needed.

- Can you provide more details on the 'other parameters' that would determine who the task is assigned to?
- How often do the people assigned to these tasks change? Would you need the ability to easily change who is assigned based on the field value?
- Are there any specific limitations or issues you've encountered with the current automation system that led to this request?

- I need it based on Risk_Type (the single select field) and by [Link Product].[Product Mannager]
The 2nd field is their Manager
- The assignment is usually done when the record is created
- a. The since I have 20 different values I need to do 20 automations
b. I create a function that returns the assignee- but when updating assigned to field you can't chose function fields or text values
