Map View and Linked Address Records

a work around is to use a formula to bring in the address and then use an automation to create a new instance on the address in the table you want to use the map view with. You do have to help google validate the address, but the end result is that it will now map and the automation can make sure the address is UpToDate. FYI - the automation would not work with a address using a LookUp field.

Hiya Gary Ford, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you please elaborate on how you envision the interaction between Map View and Linked Address Records?
- What specific functionality are you looking for when you say 'work with' in regards to Map View and Linked Address Records?
- Can you provide an example of a scenario where this feature would be beneficial?

Jon Darbyshire - I think this will explain - if not ask again or give me a call.

Jon Darbyshire - big need for us too! It's a similar use case to Gary's, with data spread across four tables and we use linked record::address to see associated data, but no way to map that. In general, Addresses are still super hard to use with maps because we can't import or sync a list of records with addresses into a table and have them validated and available to see in a map view. Any updates/features coming up for Maps or Addresses on the Horizon? Thanks!

Jon Darbyshire I'm having a similar issue.
Basically a "Linked Record:address" field is not recognized as address properly.
e.g. it's not saved as multiple lines on the backend when retrieved via API.
It also doesn't work in the Map View.
We have a central solution with all client data including their addresses.
Now we're having another solution for Finance in which we're linking to the address of the associated client for a project.
We want to use that address for the invoicing but it's all just in one line instead of split apart in lines just like it is in the original record.
Can you please allow that too for linked address fields?
Thank you!
