Move Full Screen Icon to Record View Heading and...
Peter G.
The full screen icon should be moved to the record view heading as per the attached image...
Note that once the record view is in full screen mode, the "Exit full screen" icon is located in the heading as one would expect.
AND, there should be an option (a checkbox) in the record view properties to open a given record view to full screen by default.

Option to set the default setting of the record form to full screen

Hi, it would be great if it could be possible for selected forms to be set to display in full screen by default. This is useful for example when using linked records in table form.

Great to hear your perspective, Filip Konečný! I have a few more questions for you:
- Which specific forms would you like to have the option to display in full screen by default?
- How frequently do you use the full screen mode for forms, and in what scenarios?
- Are there any specific challenges you face with the current form display settings that this feature would address?

Hello Jon Darbyshire,
Ad1) I'm talking about the standard forms for editing a record (open record/new record).
Ad2) I don't use full screen that often yet, because we are relatively new to SmartSuite implementation, but mainly also because I always have to manually switch to full screen). I currently get around this by creating dashboards for record overview, unnecessarily time-consuming for the administrator.
Ad3) The challenge is the Linked Record view, where I need to see more information in a tabular view
Bonus question: Are you planning to expand the editability of forms? The limitation of 1 column, 2 columns 50/50 and 70/30 where fields always align side by side 1/1 is limiting and not always pretty.
Thank you for your quick response.

Jon Darbyshire not the original poster, but it would be great to be able to set the top level record view as full screen. For example, in a Project or Case Management System, the Project or Case is often (not always) the top level record. Everything branches from that. So setting that to full screen as default would let us know very quickly we are in Projects, and what top/master record we are viewing.
Right now, if I view a record, then click a linked record, it completely covers the linking record, and we can't quickly tell what record we clicked in from. Right now I just move the project backlink to the top to know what Project it belongs too. But it's not really that elegant.
Record headers could help as well. Record headers + Full Screen default would be a chef's kiss
