Option to display Field Type Icon

I like software developers following the design principle of making features optional.
In this case, it seems useful to let us toggle field icons on / off.
I don't want to see them, so I might turn them off for my account when possible. At the moment, you make me see them.
Even more can be done. How interested are you in talking about this?

It would be great to have Field Type Icon! I find myself clicking into a field just to see what type it is, a lot!
