Option to link time tracking start and stop to status

When the Status field of a record changes from Pending to anything else, the task timer should start and when the Status changes from anything to Completed or Cancelled, it should automatically stop.
This has a lot of use-cases, the one that I want is for the customer success team to keep track of the time they took on each ticket, because they keep forgetting to turn the task timer on & off.

- Can you provide more details on what should happen if the status changes multiple times during the task?
- Should the timer pause if the status changes to anything other than Completed or Cancelled, and then resume when it changes back?
- Are there any specific reports or analytics you would like to see based on the task timer data?

Hi Jon,
I know this is probably too elaborate a feature to ask for, but I can think of solutions and businesses that can benefit from this.
- The time tracking should either 'Start', 'Pause', 'Stop' or 'Continue' based on the status → for example, if it moves from Pending to Ongoing, the time tracker should 'Start', when it moves to something like Awaiting Inputs status, it should 'Pause'.
When it moves to Under review status, it should 'Start' and when it moves to Closed or Completed, it should 'Stop'.
- Yes, the timer should start, pause and stop based on the Status.
- We'd like to see the total time spent on each task, and which particular status took the most time, we'll get this if Smartsuite tracks the time each task spends in each status. This will help the team understand what's taking most of their time and how we can improve that particular workflow.
Once again, I know this isn't something that's probably a priority, but I'd love to see this implemented, this would truly fill up the void of having a dedicated task/ticketing system.
