Hiya Alex Stoica, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you please elaborate on the types of customizations you'd like for the folders in the Solution Automations window?
- What specific features would you like to see in the Filter toolbar?
- How do you envision these changes improving your user experience?

Jon Darbyshire Hi Jon, I have a Solution where I manage multiple tasks for multiple clients. Having the folders in the Automation window will help in organizing everything more efficient.
Currently I search with CMD + F in the browser to see and maybe edit some of them.
I think just having the Filter bar will be a good step forward (e.g. filter all of them by name - as I include Client name in the description in each one related for each client) but also having the ability to put them folders per client will be helpful.
On another note, I would also imagine having more than 50 Automation in 1 Solution (more than current limit)

Jon Darbyshire Hi Jon, having folders to be able to organize your automations based on function, client, or whatever else would be really helpful. A filter could be really nice so if you replace a specific field with a different field (think Version 2.0), you can filter your automations by that field to update all automations that contain that field vs searching all your automations manually. Organizing these will be very handy when the ability to copy solutions with automations comes out so that everything is neatly organized for a new project or client.
Thanks!!
And I agree the 50 automation limit makes it tough for us to keep all the efficiencies we could have in the SS ecosystem vs utilizing Make, Fillout, etc.

My need would be to be able to group by function. We have flows that require similar automations for each flow. As an example, we have have 3 Jobs that we are asked to do, call them F, P and T. For each client one or all may be requested. Our workflow holds a potential client in our "Bullpen" table until authorizations are completed. The client is then activated and a Job is created for each that has been requested - F, P and T automations are triggered upon activation of a client based on the initial Job request. Then we may also be requested to add a Job. So if we already have a T Job for client Doe, we now might need to add an F or a P Job, or both. This is 6 automations: 3 for Job creation when a client is activated, and 3 for addition of a Job to an active client. Grouping these 6 automations in a "Job Creation" cluster would be helpful. We have lots of other automations that lend themselves to grouping by similar function.
My vision would be to have the automations table look like the expanded record view. Each automation would have a handle and the user could create "Sections" to choose how to group the automations.

Thank you for posting, Rob Tilley! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the grouping of automations? For example, would you like to group them based on their function, frequency of use, or some other criteria?
- How many groups or subheadings do you anticipate needing for your automations?
- Would you find it useful to have the ability to customize the names of these groups or subheadings?

We have changed the sorting to Alpha and over the next week will be adding a sort icon that will allow you to control the sorting method.

Brian Dollen: This is great news. Alpha really is perfect, because we're allowed to change names, so alpha by name gives us the most control. THANKS.

Bumping this bc its become a bigger issue the more automations are added to a solution. Can they at least be listed alphabetically so I can organize them manually? Thank you!
