Pivot table widget - option to include or exclude and rename the 'sum' column and row

The pivot table widget includes a final right column and bottom row with the heading 'sum' and the value of the total of each row/column.
However the sum value is not always meaningful. It would be useful to be able to not have the 'sum' column/row where the value it displays has no meaning.

The sample I have is in a solution we are using to manage our volunteers. A monthly report lists how many volunteers we have, how many are fully trained and how many are working 'solo' as we call it. So a volunteer who is trained, and working solo, will appear in the column for trained and working solo. the 'sum' column would then have a value of two, whereas it is the same person being counted twice. Hence the reason for not wanting the righthand column giving the sum of the row which for this report does not mean anything.
A customizable option to rename and/or to removed it would be the idea.
I have mentioned elsewhere, being able to attached the pivot table widget to the new filter widget would be brilliant, as there is no option to change the filter when a pivot table is only available to a user in the view mode - to change the filter they would need edit permissions.

- Can you provide examples of scenarios where the 'sum' value is not meaningful?
- Would you prefer a customizable option to rename the 'sum' column/row or just an option to remove it?
- Are there any other elements in the pivot table widget that you would like to have the option to include or exclude?
