Prefill and hide form fields

Two form requests:
1) Ability to have certain fields pre-filled based and hidden on form.
As an example, we want to send the form to people that registered for a specific event but don't want to display the field since we don't want them to alter or delete the event name since their responses are associated with only that specific event.
The form response would show the associated event name that was hidden.
2) Would like to display field information as a static field, to show the name of the event on the form.
In both cases, the form responses would associate with the same specific event.
As an example, the header area would show "Thank you for registering for the "Event Name"." There would be one standard form used for multiple events.

Looking forward to this as well. In the meantime, I use Fillout and URL parameters to prefill forms, including linked record values such as Company Name, etc.

Looks like many feature requests were moved to planned in 2022 but still stuck there. Are there any updates on this?

Autofill in Forms
Brian Dollen
I would like to be able to have certain fields in a form to autofill based on information from the triggering record, or maybe even the ability to associate it with a record without having the user select it.
For example if one of the steps in my workflow is to gather more information from Company A and I have an automation send them the form link, I would like the information to be automatically linked back to Company A on submission instead of them needing to pick their linked record from the list of all companies.
Another example would be to send out a yearly contact information form where the information could all be auto-filled based on the original contact record. This would allow them to know what is already in the system and not have to fill anything out if nothing has changed.

Yes - I just figured out that I cannot use a lookup on a form.... Really think we should get this ability... Everything Brian Dollen said I want to do as well.

Brian Dollen any updates on this since October?
What I need now is being able to select an object (from an app) and be able to edit the fields.

This is EXACTLY what I need. In other words, a way to associate a form with an existing record and to update that record with data from the completed form.

I see this has been marked as 'Planned' by the boss. Hooray!
