Proofing PDFs

We're leaving Wrike for SmartSuite.
Wrike's built-in PDF (and other formats) commenting and version control tool is the onle MAJOR pain point.
Our internal document review process relies on it. As there aren't many competitors for this funtionality, its the only thing really making Wrike sticky for us.

What is needed is a full function PDF editor or the ability to assign one as the default app to open and edit the PDF... I use bluebeam 20-50 times a day to markup pdfs. It would be really smart if I could open a PDF from a smartsuite field or smartdoc and have my bluebeam editing tools!!

Gary Ford I don't believe that a desktop app would be able to be embedded in SmartSuite ever, or any other platform, that would be the holy grail of integrations. Probably Bluebeam Cloud, which sucks by the way. I use Bluebeam everyday and the cloud app is a waste of resources, for now.

DJ VAGNETTI I agree with every aspect of this.
Bluebeam's cloud offerings are so painful and laborious, but seem to be the only way for us to leave behind Wrike's built-in PDF mark-up and versioning tool (which is also awful, but in different ways).

DJ VAGNETTI I have been using bluebeam desktop for 20 years, after throwing adobe in the trash. I own a copy of the cloud version, but have never used it.

Agreed! This would enable us to build internal and external review/approval workflow and management system for creative work. pdfs, jpgs etc…
