Record Selector Widget Search Enhancement

You MUST enhance the record selector search capability. The record selector only searches the Primary Key field. No matter how many other fields you select to be displayed in the record selector, it only searches the primary key. This is almost useless and certainly far less useful than searching a description field than a primary key field which is likely a SKU, Part number, etc.. Use Case: a simple item catalog where primary key is the SKU. A description field also exists, and would be FAR more useful to search upon. Allow ALL fields configured to display in the record selector to be included in the search. Note that I have explored the filter widget also, and for some reason, the text field is not presented as an option to add to a filter, so I can't use that either. Most of us don't memorize invoice numbers, part numbers, PO numbers, etc., but we have other fields that would contain data we could remember and would want to search for.

I agree, search really really needs major enhancements. How can users utilize their data if the search experience is so limited.

In Addition to this search enhancement: Record Selector Filtering!
Build Filter options (including default filters) into the record selector.
An Easy example of this is by default seeing only open cases but having the ability to filter down and see say closed cases when desired.
Another example is that I have a full list of vendors and I only want my users to select from Active Vendors - however, even if my table is set to filter only active vendors, the dashboard filter just pulls all records from the entire table. There are MANY instances where this in no good.
