Record View: Add Hotkey to search for field
planned
Brian Dollen
I would like to be able to use a hotkey in record view to bring up a "Find Field" search bar that would function similarly to how the Find function works in the standard view types, but for field names.
This would allow me to more easily find fields even in apps with 500+ fields or multiple collapsed sections.

Yes!! And if we can have it that it , "jumps" to the location of that field!
I'd also love a view all fields toggle on top of the record (top right) it will be used on a dev level to quickoy bring all into view

Hey Paul Ricci, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the search functionality to work? For example, should it search as you type or only after you hit enter?
- Are there any specific fields that you find yourself searching for more often than others?
- Would you find it useful if the search results highlighted the found field in the record?

Jon Darbyshire Hi John, the search field would be similar to the search field on the Page Settings page for the fields section.
There are times when I want to go directly to a specific field in an open record, but I have to search for the field inside the different sections, many of which are collapsed.
As a workaround, I have opened the Page Settings and go to the fields tab, then type in the field I am looking for in order to see which section the field is in.
Having the Find Field option at the top of the record would simplify that option. I did a quick copy/paste in the image below as an example.

Could this search for fields, field types and the data that is in the fields?
It would also be amazing to have a button to click that would only show fields with values in them. This is a quick way to remove the noise and a simple way to see if the record is empty.

Could also search for sections.

Brian Dollen me too :) We can easily solve this from UX point of view and indeed will be very useful for people with hundreds of fields.
