Resolve Email Items in Communications Center

Have the "Resolve option" for email like comments

Trying to manage communication alert icons. With comments, you have the option of clicking on ellipsis "..." of comment and change to resolve. This basically changes the comment from active to historical. AND the message icon number will go down one. This is not an option with emails. Only option is to delete them.

- Can you please clarify what you mean by 'communication alert icons'? Are these notifications for new emails or comments?
- When you mention 'resolve' for emails, do you mean marking them as read or something else?
- Could you explain how you envision the 'resolve' feature working for emails? Would it be similar to the 'resolve' feature for comments?

1: see attachment; the number indicator at top of record
2) yes.... marking as read would be better
3) if I click on resolve or read...... the communication alert number would be reduced by changing this email to resolve or read
I would like the indicator number to only indicate when a new comment or email has been posted, that I haven't seen.
