Restricted access shared views

Sometimes we want to share a view but only allow access to certain people, instead of anyone who has the link. This is essential when sharing views that contain confidential information.
I would be great if there was an option to grant access to specific people when sharing a view, or to allow people to request access and review access requests.
It would be ok if the person the view was to be shared with has to make a SmartSuite account to gain access.

Embed Dashboard WITHOUT making public

Shared Dashboards are a neat feature for certain uses, but sending a link exposes every visible record (unless filtered at the widget level) to the public through that link, which means anyone with the link has more access than our internal employees do.
I would like to Embed a SmartSuite dashboard in other tools that we use (Coda being an example) but still have that embedded view require the user to be logged in to their SmartSuite account. Currently that is not possible and throws an error when trying to embed the internal view link.
I would also like to see a warning when sharing a dashboard to make it clear that you're exposing records you may not intend to or realize.

Hiya Caleb Cook, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific security or privacy concerns do you have with the current dashboard sharing feature?
- Can you provide examples of other tools or platforms where you've seen similar embedding functionality with login requirements?
- How frequently do you anticipate needing to embed dashboards in other tools, and which tools are most critical for your workflow?

Hey YES Integrations ! Just wanted to give you a quick update on this.
We are planning to add the ability to restrict the access to a specific email domain address. And yes, in this option the person must have a SmartSuite account with that email in order to gain access.
We really hope that this will solve your use case. Will keep you posted !
Regards,
Stoyan

Thank you for posting, YES Integrations! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the types of confidential information you would be sharing in these views?
- What would be your preferred method for granting access to specific people? Would you like to manually add them or would you prefer they request access?
- How would you like to be notified of access requests? Would you prefer an email notification, or would you like to see these requests within the SmartSuite platform itself?

- Any user specific details like payment values, performance, listed contacts etc
- Where we have shared a view with them before or if it's possible to share a view with someone just knowing their email, then it would be good to be able to manually add them (but it's not essential). Whatever is easier to implement
