Rich Text Field Type other than SmartDoc
Travel That Delights
Apps such as Fillout and Softr that integrate with SmartSuite support Rich Text fields, but the currently available Text fields don't. Some formatted SmartDoc content will display in Softr, but you can't interact with or update a SmartDoc field from a Softr application so it has limited usefulness. A long text field with RTF would be very helpful for these types of integrations.

I think just giving smartdocs all the filterabilities that text area has wold probably work for me.

I can't speak for others, but a simple solution to this for me would be the ability to resize the SmartDoc text input size. That way I can have smaller rich text fields in my layout (so I have a clean UI and don't end up doom scrolling or being forced to hide fields in sections). Personally, I need rich text as properly formatted texts makes it easier to process information, quickly identify elements needed etc.

In addition to the rich text capabilities of the SmartDoc field, I would like to be able to use a very limited set of rich text (bold / underline / italics) in the other Text field types.

I want to be able to use this in emails to highlight keywords when sending invoices, news updates, or schedule reminders. Softr would be great too when creating blog posts, news updates, or online classes that need to be regularly updated.

Jon Darbyshire I want to jump on this, I was just trying to pull text through to a Softr site and it doesn't integrate with SmartDocs. So there really isn't a way to use SmartSuite as the blog back end and Softr as the front end.

Thank you for posting, Travel That Delights! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide specific examples of the types of content you would like to interact with or update within the Rich Text Field?
- What specific features or capabilities are you looking for in a Rich Text Field that are not currently available in the Text fields?
- Can you describe any specific use cases or scenarios where the lack of a Rich Text Field has impacted your work or productivity?
