Please add the ability to configure an AI Field Agent to run automatically only when one or more selected fields change, rather than whenever any part of the record is updated.
Currently, “Run Automatically” causes the AI Field Agent to run whenever any part of the record is updated. This can trigger unnecessary AI runs when unrelated fields change, increasing AI usage and potentially overwriting an existing result.
Ideally, the AI Field Agent settings would include:
  • A “Run when these fields change” option
  • The ability to select one or multiple trigger fields
An optional setting to run only when the selected field:
  • Changes to any new value
  • Changes to a specific value
  • Becomes populated
  • Is cleared
For example, an AI-generated specification review should run only when the uploaded source files change, not when someone updates the project status, adds a comment, or edits another unrelated field.
This would make AI Field Agents more predictable, reduce unnecessary AI usage, and allow them to function more effectively within automated workflows.
