Section Visibility by Teams

Would like option to be able to set the viewing permissions of the sections in a record to specific teams.
Currently, fields can be hidden, based on viewing permissions, but if the field(s) are in a Section in the record, the Section header is still visible, even though the records in that section are hidden.

I’m voting for this feature, but wanted to expand on it a bit. Currently, I know we can hide individual fields under a section, but there's no way to hide the entire section from certain users while still being able to see it myself. I'd love the ability to set section-level visibility permissions, so I can hide the full section from other employees without having to adjust permissions field by field. When you have 10, 20, or even 30 fields in one section, managing them individually becomes really time-consuming. A section-level permission setting would make this process much more efficient.

Filter by Teams for Section Visibility

With this functionality, we can fully control who sees what.
(for example a section is hidden for employees, another section visible only to accountants, another section visible to marketing team + managers .... etc)
Currently this could be possible, but painful to deal with a large list of members, and if new members join the organization, we will need to modify all settings all over.

Great to hear your perspective, Vasken Bakalian! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the team-based visibility settings to be managed?
- What is the average size of teams within your organization and how frequently do new members join?
- Are there specific sections that are more frequently needed to be hidden or visible to certain teams?
Vasken Bakalian
Jon Darbyshire thanks!
Here is another screenshot that might explain the idea.
This will give us a Softr like experience, and based on the "Logged-in user" (current user in SS)
we will be able to show the necessary sections.

In this specific workspace (Foodz-x), we have 6 total users and the client is looking to hire as we complete the building the system, however since this feature is new and with some clients I'm trying to create a SmartSuite only experience (with the recent front-end friendly features), I'm looking forward to suggesting such solutions.
- In this specific case, here's what we have.
The Sales manager creates a Request, and we need to have much less fields displayed than during editing a Request.
Then the Account Manager takes over and completes the request details, since there's work to be done and the Sales manager doesn't have all that info initially.
First I thought of submitting a feature request like
(different settings for Create record vs Edit Record, in the expanded view)
Then we thought of role/team based.
Additional Note:
With forms we can create multiple forms, but expanded record view is one, and that's why we need more dynamic settings.

Jon Darbyshire Jeff Gonzalez Rick Palaia this feature will be very helpful for Ace Ventures! Any idea if this is something you're looking forward to?
