Set due date for Assigned Comments in Communication Centre

Problem:
When assigning a comment a due date can only be set for it by sending it, finding it in the My Work section and amending the due date there. This takes a significant amount of time.
Solution: 
Allow due dates to be set for assigned comments in the communication centre.

Can you provide more details on how you envision the process of setting due dates for assigned comments in the communication centre?
What is the average number of comments you assign per day that would require a due date?
How would you prioritize this feature among other improvements or features you would like to see in our product?

When the assign to button is check an option to set a due date becomes visible
per day probably 1 or two but as a proportion of comments probably about 40% at the moment
I would really like to see this because it would streamline the communications centre and integrate it better with My Work
