It's high time SmartSuite takes a giant leap with a dedicated desktop app for both Mac and Windows, and here's the kicker – offline functionality! 🚀 Imagine the possibilities: working seamlessly on our projects without the constant need for a WiFi connection.
The ability to update personal documents, manage tasks, or tweak project plans offline would be a game-changer. It caters to the on-the-go lifestyle many of us lead, ensuring productivity isn’t hamstrung by spotty internet access.
Once we're back online, SmartSuite could either automatically sync our offline changes or, better yet, offer us the choice to select which version to upload to the cloud. This ensures a smooth transition between offline work and cloud storage, safeguarding against any potential data conflicts.
Think about those times we find ourselves in a WiFi dead zone or during travel. Our productivity wouldn’t have to take a backseat anymore. It’s all about staying connected to our work, even when we’re technically disconnected from the net.
This isn’t just a convenience feature; it's a necessity for modern, flexible workflows. Let's bring SmartSuite into the realm of robust, offline-capable tools! 💻✨

This is a need, not a want. At least a brower based Chromium app would be appreciated until a proper app can be built out.

Michael: Hi Michael, I've created a Pseudo Desktop App, as a workaround that you might find helpful as well. I explain how to do it here:

I'd really love to have this as a desktop app as well!

Count my vote, it is not just want but rather a need to have an app version.

As a current user of Airtable, I happen to have a preference for the desktop app vs browser based work. There's no need to have a separate browser window open, no frustration of trying to find the correct browser tab when many are open, etc.
There's no need to hide or ignore URL bars or bookmark bars, leaving more space to work. Also, in my opinion window snapping and resizing is better.

Karimfarghaly: Agreed! I'd also like to see a nifty shortcut icon that hovers across all screens like clickup has...
