Could you please specify the events or tasks for which you would like to receive sound notifications?
Do you have a preference for the type of sound for the notification?
Would you like the option to customize the sound notification?

"Mentioned" and "assigned to me" at least. Also reminder about due date is about to expire or expired
any short sound from text messaging app or similar

I totally agree!! Another way to highlight notifications could be to get a popup on the top right corner, as you can find on MacOs, also with the ability to toggle on/off. To me, the count above the bell icon isn't visible enough to be reactive if an emergency happens. A sound and/or a popup would be a great help.
