Support for image signatures in email templates

I agree with Laurel, it would be very helpful to be able to insert images into email templates.
In my specific case, I would like to add a logo at the top center (I'm flexible with image format) and an image of my handwritten signature (again, flexible with format) at the bottom left- in line with my contact information.
We have a need for only a few different email templates so customizing each one with content and signature info, in my case, would not be an issue.

- Could you please specify the formats of the image signatures you use?
- Do you need to use different image signatures for different types of emails or is it the same for all?
- Do you require any specific placement for these image signatures within the email body or template?

Jon Darbyshire I work with Laurel McDougall and the image format could be jpeg or png, placement at bottom for email signature. But being able to put sonething at the top would be good too. Each person has a different signature, but it is all within the image. Being able to add a image within the template anywhere would be a game changer
