View lookup fields from linked records in form view

Allow lookup fields used in the associated table to be "view only" fields in a form once a user has selected a linked record option. For example, in course management, say a faculty member wanted to submit a new syllabus and section offering for the upcoming semester for their course using a form. This would let them select the course record at the beginning of the form and then automatically see associated look-up data populate below their selection to quickly reference as they complete the form.
