Whiteboard View

Hey Gus Geuder, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the interaction with these records on the 'whiteboard' view?
- What specific features from 'miro-like' whiteboards do you find most useful for this view?
- How would you like the system to handle the organization and saving of the 'whiteboard' view?

I’m picturing it being almost like “card view” but you could move the cards around. I would like to be able to Connect related cards visually with arrows to make connections for flow charts and hierarchical structures.
For example if you had a table of employee records you could very easily create an org chart using a whiteboard view.
It would be nice to also be able to create shapes and text boxes that can be moved around as well. These things wouldn’t have to represent records though. Just be used to visually group the record “cards”
I think the current way data visibility is handled in views would work for this as you could use filters and such to determine what records show on the whiteboard and you can determine visibility of fields which allows you to control how the cards will look.
Although there might be an issue with changing a filter and having everything disappear!!
I think the simplest way to “save” the view for later access would be on the left panel like any other view.
Let me know if you have any other questions or if this already exists on the roadmap! Thanks

Artem Kunytsia: Are there any plans to enhance whiteboards in the future (to make it more like Miro)?

I think this will be great! The idea I have related to this is that we would be able to include record cards/references in the whiteboard that are expandable to show a full record's details. It would also be nice if a tree view of sorts could be automatically generated using linked records and/or sub-items.
My particular use case is managing and diagraming my entity structure. I have one company that is a parent to three others which are parents to others, and though I only go a few children deep personally, that parent-child relationship could, theoretically, go on forever.
Not sure the exact direction you are taking with this, so I wanted to chime in incase it might be helpful!
