Wrap Column Names

Hi. It would be great if you could wrap column names. So names that might be longer than the data in the column. Eg: A column named "Project Manager" (allocated to field) is all on one line, but the actual Project Manager's Avatar is only small/two letters.
Reducing the column width (to save on horizontal screen space) cuts off the column description. If it could be "wrapped" to be "Project" (1st line) and "Manager" (2nd line) then that would be great.
Thanks.

I think wrapping Column Names is important, another thought is that as a developer i need to see more information in the column name then the user needs to see. I have worked with systems in the past (sorry I do not remember whose) that let me have a choice to show the full column name or an abbreviated column name. I would really be in favor of this approach in addition to having the column names wrap. Each view could have a toggle switch between full or abbreviated.... or even better - each view could support a custom column name.... I see a can of worms here, but I can also see making it more clear to who is using a specific view. Forms let us do this! I can see how having an abbreviated set of names could really help on mobile devices!!

Thought I'd check in and poke this again.

Agreed, or at least add an option to hover over the title to see the full text

Providing just two lines for wrapping would be better than no wrap. We consistently find use cases for longer column names. Requesting this for planned.

This would be BEYOND helpful 🙏🙏🙏

Wholeheartedly agree. This is something that AirTable users have desired for YEARS. Why not go ahead and embarass them by implementing it here on SmartSuite!
