Ability to select a SmartSuite View to use as a filter within Zapier to determine when records should be updated. The SmartSuite Zapier connector will be enhanced with the ability to add filters to all of our triggers, allowing you to specify conditions that determine whether the Zap will proceed. These filters will include options to evaluate field values (similar to the report toolbar's filter capability) as well as to specify that one or more fields need to have been changed during an update to continue with the Zap.
This capability reduces the number of Zap actions required to construct many workflows (you can currently use Zapier's filter action, but it increases the number of tasks consumed when the Zap continues), making Zap configuration easier and more efficient.
Many use cases are supported by this enhancement, including:
  1. Triggering the Zap only when a record's status is "Ready for Review"
  2. Proceeding with the Zap only when priority is set to "Critical" and the Assign To field has been updated
  3. Continuing only when a Linked Record field has been updated
  4. Proceeding with a Zap that sends email notifications only when the Email field is not empty and has been changed
  5. And many more!
