The request is to track, at the field level, the last updated date and the user specifically for Open Comments within a record. Currently, SmartSuite does not support capturing “last modified by” or “last modified time” for Open Comments through system functions. Although the general Last Updated field reflects the most recent change for most fields in the record, it does not consider updates made to Open Comments, and therefore does not reflect those changes. As a workaround, users must rely on the Activity History to manually identify the most recent Open Comments update, including the user and timestamp. As a potential improvement, introducing a dedicated field to independently track changes to Open Comments could be beneficial. This would enable users to easily identify, across a list of records, which ones have had comment updates, and to filter them by date and/or modifier.
