Feature Requests

I would like to be able to edit the fields that appear and their order in the default SmartSuite email notification. The default works better than setting up custom automations, but there is no Solution Creator input into the order of information displayed - it's a straight data dump to the email body.

Currently, I have to "follow" each record I want to receive notifications for when an update is made. I would like the ability to opt-in to receive notifications any time ANY record in an app is updated. So I am requesting the current "follow" feature be duplicated to allow opting in at the app level. An example use case is a task app. I want to be notified anytime the record is updated. I understand that I can set up an automation, but I don't necessarily want an email notification, I want a SmartSuite notification. Additionally, if there was a setting to change the default to auto-follow each record in a specified app without having to do it individually, that will also suffice.

One improvement we’d love to see is more control over email notifications. Right now, email notifications include all fields, even if a team member doesn’t have permission to view some of them inside SmartSuite. This creates a privacy concern and can cause confusion. It would be incredibly helpful if we could: Choose which fields show in email notifications. Add a custom message to the email body for clarity and context. This would help us keep notifications clean, relevant, and secure for each team member. Thanks for considering this!

Please add the possibility to set up an automation that sends a notification each time a new comment is added to a conversation in which you were previously tagged.

Would be nice have the ability to change the design of the default email notifications that go out. Either an HTML template builder or a choosing from a few templates and colors would be nice.

Ability to click into Automations Error Notifications in the Notifications Center. I would like click on a notification and be brought to the specific Automation at hand, to resolve the issue faster.

We're not getting email notifications when something is due. This should be basic functionality. We're moving some of our project work from Asana... or at least we were planning to. We can't expect every user in the company to log into SmartSuite every day and look at My Work to see if they happen to have something due. Email notifications are a must! Asana sends out a daily digest every morning of upcoming tasks due and tasks overdue. It'll remind you for a few days after it's overdue, then it'll drop off the list. It's simple and works beautifully. Asana also gives a user complete control of what they are notified about by project. See example screen shot.

As we roll out newer modules and components to our smart sweet workspaces and applications a very big frustrating request that I am receiving is that users are getting an abundance of email notifications. Outside of each individual user turning off email notifications, I feel as if that there should be an admin control over who and how often a user gets notifications. In other systems that we work with There is a feature where you would be able to receive a consolidated daily/weekly overview email notification which notifies the user of the X number of the notifications in 1 email rather than a separate email for each notification. This is a concern various users have addressed so would like to see if your team could focus and prioritize this.

This feature enables birthday and work anniversary alerts for members of the team(s) they are part of.
