Lookup data elements don't wrap so makes it hard to see all of the data elements with out expanding the column to the full width of all of the elements. Renders the lookup in such cases of minimal value.

Currently, text does not wrap in lookup fields. This makes it harder to see text. Can we have text wrap in Lookups, like it does in Linked Records?

I am currently unable to Group by a lookup field in a Chart which is really for many situations in which the record to group by is not directly linked. I was able to get around it by creating a formula field that uses CONCAT([Lookup field], ""), but it would be much simpler if I didn't need to do that.

Problem: The lookup field can only display values from a directly linked record. Sure, you can lookup another lookup, but the powerful built in filter will only work on the first link. Sure, you can use GET_LIST in a formula, but then you lose the ability to click directly though to the looked up record - the core advantage of using a lookup. Solution: Add functionality to the lookup field to drill down through multiple links, with the filter applying to the final link.

I love the "Assignee" permissions where someone can only see records that they are assigned to - however I'd love to be able to use a lookup field for this. As an example: I have a table called "Projects" that has a field called "Members" - where I can assign specific people. When I use the Assignee permissions that works great - I can ensure only the members have access to their projects. However - let's say I now have a "Tasks" table - each task is linked back to a project. I have a Lookup field in Tasks that lets me see the "Project Members" for each task. I have a filter that allows me to ensure the user can also only see the tasks for a project that they are assigned to - but I can't select the Assignee field if it's a lookup field in permissions, so it's still possible for that filter to be removed.

The ability to drill down to lookup data is great! It could be improved by allowing users to drill down on empty lookups so they can add values to the associated fields. Right now drill down functionality only works for lookups that have data.

In the past I believe I had a text area field and I converted it into a smartdoc field that was able to be used in a lookup. With all the capability a Smartdoc field currently has I am sure it is not as simple of a feature addition as it may seem, But Text Area Fields have limited capabilities for formatting. I would like to use Smartdoc fields that have checklists and formatting as a lookup to display the value in a different app. Currently I have a smartdoc field that has values in it per client, per record. If I have an update I would have to either create a CSV File with matching titles and do an import hoping the formatting stays the same or use an automation to update every record. If I Bulk update the column with the paste feature it spreads the values out across multiple records so that isn't an easy option for updating values. However if I had those records linked to one profile with a lookup field then anytime that field value is updated it would reflect across all the connected records seamlessly. Not a high priority compared to other requested items, but would be nice in the roadmap.

A toggle switch in the table view that allows users to disable lookup field filtering would be helpful Use case: a time entry table has a lookup field that displays project names but is filtered for use in forms to display only projects that are not "complete". When reviewing time logs, it may be necessary to reassign time from the project it was originally associated with to a different possibly closed project. I cannot see closed projects in the lookup field due to the filter. However, I also don't want end users to see all projects when interacting with the table when using the web form. So the ability to toggle off the filter for a data administrator without affecting the way the form behaves seems useful.
